Two-class cabin: This is what Condor offers in its Airbus A330

The German holiday airline is now taking off with former Etihad jets. In the cabins of the four Airbus A330, Condor is mainly making cosmetic changes.

Something special awaits Condor passengers on flight DE1514 from Düsseldorf to Palma de Mallorca on Saturday (February 19). You are not flying in an Airbus A320, an A321 or a Boeing 757, which are otherwise used on the route. Instead they will be the first travelers to board Condor’s Airbus A330.

The long-haul aircraft has 262 seats, including 22 business class seats that convert into flat beds. The D-AIYC is the first of four aircraft of the type that Condor will have in service by May. All previously flew for Etihad Airways.

New seat covers and headrests

Condor is only leasing the four A330-200s for around two years, as the first neo-generation A330-900s will arrive in the autumn. Therefore, the A330-200 do not have a real Condor livery, but wear white with the logo and lettering of the airline.

There are no major changes in the cabin compared to Etihad times, the German holiday airline only sets its own visual accents. For example, the seat covers have been renewed and the headrests now also have the Condor colors and logo. And of course the airline also equips the aircraft with its own emergency equipment.

Neo brings a class more

The new A330-900 will have Premium Economy Class on board in addition to Economy and Business. The airline has not yet revealed how exactly the number of seats and the layout looks like. However, there are already some clues.
