The past hours witnessed a tragic crime in the Al-Matareya district of Cairo, when two people were killed after a violent quarrel with the defendants in the incident.
Last Tuesday, at four o’clock in the afternoon, the atmosphere was perfect in the Al-Matariyya area, until the sound of screaming and wailing broke off the area.
The quarrel that broke out was the owners of shops in the street, the first owner of a carpentry shop “died of his chest injury” – his partner in the shop was caught in possession of a “wooden stick”, and the second party 4 people “one of whom had separate injuries and died during his first aid”, and they were seized with 3 pieces of white weapons .
It started with a verbal altercation because two balls were placed in front of the first party’s “shop”. The altercation quickly developed into a fight with white weapons, during which the first party sought the help of his brothers, who came with white weapons, and as soon as they saw the second party, they attacked him with white weapons.
Immediately, investigations were conducted and the necessary ambushes were prepared so that the department’s investigation officers were able to apprehend the accused in the incident. By presenting the accused to the investigation authorities, I ordered them to be imprisoned for 4 days pending investigations.
Other steps taken by the concerned authorities, including the seizure of surveillance cameras in the vicinity of the incident, to find out the circumstances of the accident.
The Public Prosecution also ordered that the two bodies be presented to the forensic medicine office to sign the autopsy, to indicate the causes of death, and to authorize the burial after the forensic report was received. Eyewitnesses were summoned about the incident to hear their statements.
The beginning was when a report came to the Matareya Police Department in the Cairo Security Directorate that a quarrel had occurred in the department’s department, and by moving it became clear that it had occurred due to a verbal altercation between the two parties, because one of the people from the second party placed two balls in front of the shop of the first.
After that, it developed into a quarrel, during which the two sides assaulted each other by using the weapons seized from them. As a result, the two aforementioned deceased were injured, which claimed their lives.
