On Monday, one of the families of the victims of the Beirut port explosion filed two criminal complaints against Minister of Justice Henry Khoury and Minister of Finance Youssef Khalil, in the Lebanese caretaker government, before the first investigating judge in Beirut.
These two complaints came, according to the victims’ families’ statement, “as a result of the Minister of Finance’s persistent refusal to sign judicial formations without any legal basis, and the Minister of Justice’s persistence in offering illegal solutions that come with the aim of benefiting some of the defendants in the port bombing file.”
Each of the two complaints included “facts condemning the two ministers for these criminal acts, and it ended with a request to arrest them in presence and refer them to trial.”
