Waidring – Two earthquakes occurred in the border triangle of Tyrol, Bavaria and Salzburg in just three hours. The first quake at 10:37 p.m. had a magnitude of 2.2. As the Austrian Seismological Service (Geosphere Austria) announced on Thursday night, the second earthquake at 1:42 a.m. near Waidring (Kitzbühel district) had a significantly higher magnitude of 3.3. Some people were shocked. The shock was clearly perceived as shaking and rocking.
