Next September, Apple might unveil a new collection of iPhones, with four models at the rendezvous as for the last generation. And official documents apparently coming directly from Apple already allow us to know more regarding the devices in question. The source is a Twitter user who has already shared similar files in the past, from internal files at the apple firm that it normally keeps secret.
In the images, which you can see below, we learn that the code name of the iPhone 15 would be D8y at Cupertino, while the iPhone 15 Pro would for the moment be called D8x. This mobile will probably have a better camera, as is the case with the iPhone 14 Pro compared to the iPhone 14. But this would not be its only asset, since as a bonus the Wi-Fi 6E would be part of it. This new version of the telecommunications standard has already taken its first steps on MacBook Pro and on Mac mini M2 a few days ago. It is also found on iPad Pro.

A better processor, but not for all models
With this, the leak says that the iPhone 15 Pro will come with a A17 Bionic chip. This should be engraved with a precision of three nanometers, for better energy consumption and enhanced overall performance. But neither the iPhone 15 nor the supposed iPhone 15 Plus would be entitled to it, reserving the chip for the most expensive editions as with smartphones from the same manufacturer released at the end of 2022.
Moreover, it turns out that Wi-Fi 6E will also be dedicated only to iPhone 15 Pro, according to the source. Another difference, which will make it possible to further distinguish the ranges: the volume buttons, as expected, would be much more discreet, with haptic feedback rather than a push mechanism like today.
Better throughput for more demanding uses
We do not yet know what the rate of the A17 Bionic chip will be, but if Apple does not deviate from its habits, the power gain might be of the order of 1.3 x to more. Today, the A16 Bionic chip already offers almost sixteen billion transistors with a six-core CPU and a graphics card with 50% more bandwidth than the A15.
