LOS ANGELES, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) — NASA astronauts Jasmin Moghbeli and Loral O’Hara conducted a spacewalk on Wednesday to conduct scientific research and maintenance of the space station.

The two female astronauts began this outing at 8:05 a.m. Eastern time in the United States on Wednesday. The outing was expected to last approximately six and a half hours.

They were tasked with removing radio communications equipment and replacing equipment that allows the orbiting laboratory’s solar panels to track the sun, according to NASA. END
