As of 6:00 a.m. on the 4th (Wednesday), Typhoon No. 14 (Koinu), a large and powerful typhoon, is moving northwest over the sea south of Okinawa.

The Sakishima Islands are in a strong wind region with wind speeds of 15 m/s or more, and the maximum instantaneous wind speed by 7:00 was observed at Ishigaki Island at 16.2 m/s and at Yonaguni Island at 18.5 m/s. It is expected to maintain its strong strength and move westward over the sea south of the Sakishima Islands until the 5th (Thursday).
