In Tyrol, women find it difficult to get access to abortions – because abortions that are not medically indicated are prohibited in hospitals. So far, abortions were only possible with a single doctor in the entire federal state. In July, the ÖVP and SPÖ agreed that three resident doctors should now perform abortions in Innsbruck. However, abortions are still not possible in public hospitals.
