The accusation cannot be determined, quoted Ö1 Radio and online “Krone” on Friday from the hiring decision. Specifically, the questioning was about his relationship with Egisto Ott, a former official at the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Combating Terrorism (BVT).

Mushroom – as well as politicians from the FPÖ and NEOS – have repeatedly been accused of having received information from Ott. The former Green politician and founder of the online magazine zackzack.at was one of the first people to provide information in the current U-Committee on March 3rd. There he had presented the chats from the cell phone of the former Interior Ministry head of cabinet Michael Kloibmüller and had been questioned by the ÖVP about the relationship with Ott.

Mushroom stated that he had only known Ott personally in mid-2019. In an anonymous ad, however, this statement was questioned. According to this, the ex-politician is said to have received information about the Kurdish murders from Ott in 2009. In addition, Ott’s criminal record shows that he already had questions for Peter in 2018 Mushroom in connection with the BAT Committee of Inquiry.
