U17: The draw has been made!

A few hours following the final of the UFOA/A tournament for the under-20s, won for Senegal ahead of the Gambians, the leaders drew lots for the competition, this time reserved for U17s, which will also be played in Mauritania.

The draw for the tournament of the union of West African football federations under 17 was made this followingnoon in Mauritania. This qualifying competition for the next African Cup of Nations in this category will take place with our neighbors in Nouakchott from October 1st to 10th. The Senegalese national team led by Serigne Saliou Dia is housed in Pool B along with Cape Verde and Mali. Senegal won the last edition under the leadership of Malick Daf.

The proteges of Serigne Saliou Dia in regrouping for several months will try to follow in the footsteps of the Junior Lions, qualified for the Can U20 and winners of the tournament in the same category with Malick Daf.

The other pool is made up of Mauritania, the host country, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Six nations are in the running, only the two finalists will qualify for the next CAN U17, scheduled for Algeria in 2023.
