Ali Obaid Ali Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, stressed that the UAE and the People’s Republic of China have close strategic relations, pointing out that the UAE-Chinese relations are a successful model for international bilateral relations.
Al Dhaheri congratulated the leadership and people of the People’s Republic of China on the occasion of the celebration of the 73rd anniversary of its founding, and said in a statement on this occasion: “We commend the achievements of China and its people over the past 73 years, noting that China’s prosperity has been positively reflected on the whole world.”
He added, “We are witnessing these positive effects tangibly in the UAE through bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, which stimulated economic growth for our two countries, as well as in the entire Middle East and North Africa region. Both countries have benefited greatly from our comprehensive strategic partnership.”
And he indicated that as one of the first countries to join the Belt and Road Initiative, the UAE is the main logistics center in the Middle East and North Africa, and it re-exports more than 60% of Chinese exports to the Middle East and North Africa, where the value of trade exchange between The two countries 70 billion US dollars.
He pointed out that the two countries pledged to continuously enhance economic and trade cooperation, with the aim of bilateral trade reaching $200 billion by 2030, adding: “This year marks the 38th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two friendly countries. Over the past years, the UAE-China relations have become a successful model for international bilateral relations.”
He referred to the visit of Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, to the UAE in 2018, which upgraded relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership, as well as the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him” in 2019, which strengthened relations and strategic partnership. comprehensive.
He pointed out that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries includes all fields, including economic, financial affairs, e-commerce and energy, as well as expanding cooperation in the fields of education, culture, science and technology, stressing that the UAE and the People’s Republic of China enjoy close strategic relations and share common endeavors for a prosperous future. This friendship is also reinforced by the common aspirations and forward-looking visions of both countries.
