UAE Athletics Team: International Championships and Competitions Schedule for 2023

ABU DHABI, 4th July / WAM / The UAE athletics team will participate in 7 international, continental and Gulf championships during the coming period, in line with the approved plans, to enhance the readiness of male and female players, and raise the technical level, leading to the stage of competition for the first positions.
The Asian Championship for men and women in Thailand, from 12 to 16 July, is the first stop after the Arab Games in Algeria, followed by the second participation in the Francophone Games, “men and women”, scheduled for Congo from 31 July to 5 August next, and then the World Championship that it will host. Hungary from 19 to 27 August next.
The athletics team is heading to the fourth external station for the junior category, where it will participate in the Arab Junior Championships to be hosted by the Sultanate of Oman next September, and then the fifth station will follow by participating in the Asian Games in China from September 23 to October 8.

The national team will also participate in the sixth leg of the Asian Half Marathon, which will be hosted by the UAE on November 11, before concluding its international participation in the Asian Indoor Games in China from November 17 to 26.
Ali Hassan Ghazwan, Chairman of the National Teams and Referees Committee, described these benefits as representing an important pillar as a road map aimed at development, to hone the capabilities of the players, provide them with practical experience, and achieve new personal numbers.
