UAE Weather Advisory: Flexible Work and Remote Learning in Dubai on February 12

Dubai – Education regulator Knowledge and Human Development Authority and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation have asked schools and private sector companies across the UAE to adopt flexible working practices tomorrow in view of the unpredictable weather.

Private schools, nurseries and universities in Dubai have been asked to be flexible with their students’ in-person attendance policy and use the option of distance learning tomorrow if necessary due to the unstable weather. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dubai’s education regulator, made the announcement in a post on X yesterday evening. It was also suggested to consider the needs of parents, staff and students in the unpredictable weather. The main objective is that everyone is safe, the message added. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation said in a statement in X that companies should take necessary measures to ensure outsourcing only if necessary and comply with occupational health and safety requirements.
