Abu Dhabi ∙ Human Rights Union was established for the first time in the country. The Union for Human Rights Association is registered under the Ministry of Social Development. The objective of the Union is to ensure the rights of the people in political, economic, social, cultural and environmental fields. The union will also cooperate with international human rights organizations.
The new system will consist of 16 human rights experts. The aim is to achieve sustainable development by promoting respect for human rights. Awareness raising and workshops will be organized on the basic values and principles of human rights. The association aims to strengthen national human rights cadres, promote human rights culture, conduct training, organize regional and international programs etc.
