UAZ will replace the gearbox with a Chinese one – it’s cheaper

Now, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant is preparing to replace Korean mechanics with Chinese ones, the Russian Automobile Telegram channel reports. The fact that a new transmission is being tested at the plant was recently confirmed by the head of the enterprise, Adil Shirinov, but no details were reported at that time. It has now become known that Korean units are supplied intermittently, and besides, they are more expensive than Chinese ones, in this regard, UAZ will soon switch to products from a Chinese supplier.
