Ubisoft celebrates 15 years of the Assassin’s Creed franchise

Ubisoft announces the start of the celebrations for the 15th Assassin’s Creed anniversary which will be an opportunity for the game’s teams to thank the fans for these 15 years of history and shared passion. Over the coming months, players will discover surprisesof the collaborationsof the rewardsand will be able to participate in community activities. These will cover all the games in the franchise,Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to the very first Assassin’s Creed.

The start of the celebrations is launched today with the community through the dedicated website: assassinscreed15.com and a live stream on Twitch et YouTube. The development teams are meeting next September for a very special event during which the future of Assassin’s Creed will be revealed.

Players can access new free content today introduced to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as part of Year 2 including the return of Festivals, Mastery Challenge Pack 2, and Arsenal functionality. This summer, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players will also be able to take part for free to Odin’s journeyinspired by the rogue-lite genre, which will take them to the spectacular region of Niflheim and introduce the new game mode, The Forgotten Saga, which will offer a completely new approach to gameplay. In the fall, players will be able to discover new caves to explore to solve the mystery of the Tombs of the Dead and a final surprise will await them at the end of the year since Assassin’s Creed teams will unveil the last episode of Eivor’s story as a free chapter for all players.

Players were recently able to (re)discover ancient Egypt under the reign of Cleopatra with the 60 FPS update of Assassin’s Creed Origins on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 and (re)live the adventures of Bayek to the full . To celebrate this update, players will benefit froma free weekend on Assassin’s Creed Origins which will take place from June 16 to 20. For 5 years now, the passion of the Assassin’s Creed teams has made it possible to give life to 3 opuses of the Discovery Tour franchise and to make history ever more accessible to as many people as possible. In order to facilitate access to learning, Ubisoft announces that the Discovery Tour: Viking Age is now available as a stand-alone on consoles, on Stadia as well as on pc. Ubisoft has also partnered with McGill University to develop educational guides available online free of charge for teachers and students to help them make the most of the Discovery Tours as full-fledged learning tools for use in the classroom.
