Udayanidhi Stalin’s Controversial Statement on Sanatana Dharma Sparks Legal Action

Lucknow: DMK in a statement to eradicate Sanatana Dharma. A case has been filed once morest Tamil Nadu leader and minister Udayanidhi Stalin in Uttar Pradesh. A case has also been registered once morest Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s son Priyank Kharge for supporting Udayanidhi’s statement. The FIR has been registered at the Civil Lines Police Station, Rampur.

The police stated that a case has been registered once morest both of them on charges of hurting religious sentiments and inciting enmity between different religious groups. Lawyers Harsh Gupta and Ramsingh Lodhi filed the complaint stating that Udayanidhi Stalin’s statement hurt their sentiments.

‘Some things cannot be resisted, they can only be eliminated. We cannot resist dengue, mosquitoes, malaria and corona. They should be eliminated. In the same way, we have to wipe out Sanatana Dharma too’, was the statement of Udayanidhi Stalin. Udayanidhi Stalin’s remarks were made at a function organized by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association on Saturday.

Udayanidhi’s statement was severely criticized by the BJP. But he said that he stands by the statement and is ready to face any legal action for this. Udayanidhi stated that he has spoken and will continue to speak for the downtrodden and marginalized who are experiencing the worst aspects of Sanatana Dharma.
