UdeC seeks that the Medicine Program be evaluated – El Comentario

The School of Medicine from University of Colima received a virtual visit from the Mexican Council for the Accreditation of Medical Education AC (COMAEM), headed by Mayela Rodríguez Garza, in order to begin the evaluation of the educational program of the Midwifery Surgeon career.

Susana Aurelia Preciado Jiménez, General Director of Higher Education, with the representation of the Rector Christian Jorge Torres Ortiz Zermeño welcomed the technical evaluation committee and thanked the participation of those who make this exercise of continuous improvement possible, “which allows us to fulfill the responsibility of imparting education top quality”.

This first meeting is intended to achieve the reaccreditation of the Medicine program, in order to improve it.

The director of the Faculty of Medicine, Emilio Prieto Díaz, highlighted the commitment to the quality of education and thanked the effort of his work team to address this process.

On the campus were Gabriel Ceja, deputy director; Nora Rincón, administrative secretary; Javier Fuentes, academic coordinator and Carla Carrasco, responsible for clinical fields, internships and hospital practices. For COMAEM, Efraín Patiño, teacher and coordinator of the boarding school and social service at the Xochicalco University and Diana Rivera, secretary of this organization.
