What is UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year?

For this award, coaches in Europe, regardless of nationality, were assessed on their influence over the whole season in all competitions – both domestically and internationally – in club competitions or by national teams.

How were the coaches ranked

An initial list of six coaches has been drawn up by the UEFA Technical Study Group.

The three nominees were chosen by a jury composed as follows:

• Clubs that participated in the group stages of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League

• A group of journalists selected by European Sports Media (ESM)

The members of the jury all gave their top 3, the first receiving five points, the second three and the third one. Coaches were not allowed to vote for themselves.
