Viviane Araujo Aims To Reclaim Debut Glory At UFC 317
Las Vegas, Nevada – The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to conclude its June schedule with a spectacular International Fight Week event, UFC 317, at the T-Mobile Arena. Among the fighters scheduled to appear on June 28, 2025, is Viviane Araujo, who is looking to recapture the explosive success of her UFC debut.
The UFC 317 card will feature Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira battling for the vacant lightweight title, and also appearances from Alexandre Pantoja and Paulo Costa.
Araujo’s Explosive UFC Debut
Viviane Araujo entered the UFC scene in 2019 as the strawweight champion in Pancrase, holding a solid 6-1 record. Stepping in as a late replacement for Melissa Gatto against Talita Bernardo at UFC 237 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Araujo faced the added challenge of fighting at bantamweight, a significant 20 pounds above her usual competition weight.
Despite the adversity, Araujo made a memorable debut. After dominating the first two rounds, she delivered a stunning one-punch knockout to Bernardo in the third round, instantly marking herself as a force to be reckoned with in women’s mixed martial arts.
