(June 1, 2025, 15:34) – In a significant escalation of the conflict, Ukraine launched a series of drone attacks on Sunday, reportedly targeting four strategic russian air force bases deep within Russian territory.The attacks, which reached as far as 1800 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, appear to be a bold exhibition of Kyiv’s growing ability to strike critical infrastructure and challenge Russia’s air superiority.

Key Targets Hit:

Olenya (Murmansk region): A key base for Russia’s long-range bomber fleet, reportedly sustaining significant damage with several aircraft reportedly burning on the ground.
Belaya (Siberia): Another strategic airbase, were smoke plumes were observed following the drone strikes.
Ivanovo (Northeast of Moscow): A major aviation hub.
Djagilevo (Ryazan region): A base used for training and deployment of military aircraft.

SBU Claims Duty

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) has claimed responsibility for the attacks, describing the operation as a “special surgery” aimed at destroying enemy bomber aircraft. Sources indicate the attacks were meticulously planned and executed, leveraging advanced drone technology and intelligence gathering.
