KUWAIT CITY: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait has welcomed the extension of the agreement for the safe export of grains and foodstuffs from Ukrainian ports for four months.
The Ministry’s statement also pointed out that by facilitating the export of Ukraine’s grains, it can alleviate the food shortages around the world. Kuwait praised the positive response of Ukraine and the Russian Federation to the calls of the international community in this regard.
Kuwait also praised the efforts of the UN and Turkey on the issue. The Ministry also expressed hope that it would facilitate direct negotiations to end the conflict and reach a political solution that preserves European and global security and stability.
