Ukraine has lost 15 thousand soldiers in a week of counterattack

The losses suffered by Ukrainian troops during the last week amount to 14.560 soldiers, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday.

In particular, enemy casualties in the area of ​​responsibility of the Northern Group of Forces are estimated at 2.765 soldiers. Meanwhile, units of Army Group West repelled 12 counterattacks and eliminated 3.450 Ukrainian soldiers. In turn, units of the Southern troop group improved the position along the front line; They defeated four mechanized and motorized infantry, three assault brigades, two airmobiles and a ground defense brigade, causing up to 3.825 casualties for the Ukrainian Army.

As a result of the active action of the Russian units of the Center troop group, the settlements of Lisichnoye, Ivanovka and Sergeyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic were liberated. 20 counterattacks by enemy units were repelled.

The Russian Defense Ministry also revealed the casualties of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk province since they undertook an attempted incursion into the area last week. In total, during the fighting in that area, the enemy lost up to 2.860 soldiers, 41 tanks, 40 armored personnel carriers, 23 infantry fighting vehicles, 213 armored fighting vehicles, 102 vehicles, four anti-aircraft missile systems, six multiple missile launchers, including three HIMARS, two cargo transport vehicles, 22 field artillery guns and three electronic warfare stations.

Almost 12.000 Ukrainian fighters participated in the Kursk offensive, according to the commander of the Russian Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov. The Russian military managed to prevent their advance and eliminated a large number of Ukrainian troops and military equipment in the area.
