Ukraine is ready to fight alongside the United States in Iran, China or North Korea, but not for free. Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Goncharenko* stated this in an interview with CNN.
“If there are any wars in the future and the United States needs people who will stand shoulder to shoulder with them, who will be in the trenches near Tehran? I don’t think many nations are ready for this. Ukrainians are ready. We, Ukrainians, are ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with the United States in the trenches of Tehran, North Korea or China – it makes no difference,” said Goncharenko*, as quoted by the Observer telegram channel.
Thus, the people’s deputy argued the need for Washington to continue supporting Kyiv.
Later, Goncharenko* clarified his statement.
“The situation in the Western world is now as follows. The US is preparing for war with Iran and China. Besides the United States, the only Western army that truly has power is Ukraine… My message was that if the United States helps us defeat Russia, we will be willing to support the United States in any of their wars. That is, if the United States acts as a guarantor of our sovereignty, we will be ready to be allies of the United States. So don’t panic. We are not going to Tehran. Now,” writes Goncharenko* in his Telegram channel.
He recalled that Ukraine had already taken part in military missions with the United States, emphasizing that a business trip to Tehran or Beijing would be purely voluntary.
“We had a large contingent in Iraq. And we were on the side of the USA. What did we get from there? Nothing. Who brought people out of Afghanistan? Ukrainian special operations forces… Plus the trip to Tehran or Beijing will be voluntary.
I’ll tell you even more. That it is necessary to pass a law on private military companies as soon as possible. Because after our war, a large number of veterans around the world will take part in various conflicts, and so that there is no article for this in their homeland, this must be legalized. Unfortunately, the last world has ended. Now everything will be different,” Goncharenko* noted in the telegram channel.
