But the postings are apparently propaganda against Ukraine – the clip has been taken out of context.
The alleged video evidence is a recording from a film set.
The clip, which was created during the shooting of the Ukrainian series “Contamin”, was recorded in 2020, long before the current war in Eastern Europe.
Daria Driuchenko, producer of the series, confirmed to the Archyde.com news agency that the clip was made in 2020.
This Twitter post from December 2020 shows behind-the-scenes photos of the series – including the actor in the alleged evidence video, who was made up.
The case shows how easily old videos can be taken out of context to cast current events in a different light. Two years later, a harmless behind-the-scenes shot from 2020 becomes misleading war propaganda.
