Ukraine vlogger Kees Huizinga: ‘Rapeseed yield is very disappointing’

A lot of rain has fallen on the land of Kees Huizinga, the Dutch farmer in Ukraine. It is still questionable whether the rapeseed can be harvested. ‘We’ll just wait until it’s dry.’

In the meantime, the many combines are ready. Eventually, they can go into the fields later in the week, to Huizinga’s relief. But he soon sees that the yield is not as expected. ‘The harvest of barley and wheat was above expectations. But rapeseed? That yield is very disappointing. That is probably due to the frost damage’, the entrepreneur suspects.
