The disruption did not last long, but as the Russian news agency Tass reported, air traffic at Vnukovo Airport in Moscow had to be briefly interrupted on Thursday morning. The reason for this was, as has often been the case before, the danger of possible Ukrainian drones. A few hours earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry had announced that Ukrainian drones had reached areas around Moscow and St. Petersburg. At around 1:30 a.m., Russian air defense intercepted a drone in each of the two major cities. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also stated via Telegram that a drone heading for Moscow had been shot down.
