According to him, the army of the Russian Federation was faced with the task of reaching the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, but they never managed to implement it. And this is not even the fifth failed attempt. At the moment, the Russian Federation does not have an offensive potential, and will not have it in the near future, since it loses a large number of soldiers and equipment at the front every day.
Kirill Budanov said that now the occupiers are trying to hold on to the territories seized earlier and disrupt the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But there are two exceptions. The aggressor is still trying to capture Bakhmut, and soon it will be a calendar year, as the Russians “take” the city, at the same time, the Ukrainian defenders heroically hold back enemy attacks. Also, Putin’s army may try to encircle Avdiivka from the north side.
