The Ukrainian military and pro-Russian militias from eastern Ukraine today crossed accusations of violation of the ceasefire between the parties, after a resurgence of attacks that has been observed in Donbas for days.
As reported on Sunday by the press center of the Operation of the Joint Forces of Ukraine, the separatists commit “repeated violations” of the truce with heavy weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.
The recorded violations, according to a statement from the center on Facebook, reveal some preparations for the “creation of conditions for a future escalation of the line of separation” in Donbas, say the Ukrainian military, who yesterday reported two casualties due to shrapnel wounds.
Kiev claims that keeps the situation under control and “continues to carry out tasks to repel and contain” the militias from the east.
The Ukrainian military claims to follow the Minsk agreements and “only open fire when the actions of the Russian occupation forces represent a threat to life and the health of Ukrainian military or civilians.”

The self-proclaimed republic of Lugansk reported this morning civilian casualties and infrastructure destruction as a result of an attack by the Ukrainian Army this Sunday, without specifying the number of those killed.
Later, the Lugansk militia reported that two locals died as a result of “an attempted offensive” by Ukrainian soldiers about 7 kilometers from the Russian border.
“According to the latest data, two civilians were killed near the town of Pionerskoye and five (residential) buildings were damaged,” Lugansk Police told the Interfax agency.
The Russian Instruction Committee affirmed in turn that it will open criminal cases to investigate the death of civilians in Lugansk, according to a statement from that entity.
Donetsk, in turn, reported more than 80 attacks against that territory in one day in the framework of “49 episodes of violation of the truce” by the Ukrainian military.
The militiamen also accused Kiev of sending subversive groups to Donbas to carry out attacks on key infrastructure in the region.
