MOSCOW, April 5 (Xinhua) — A Ukrainian small plane crashed in Russia’s Bryansk region, RIA Novosti news agency reported Wednesday citing the Federal Security Service (FSB) for the region.
Members of the Russian FSB border service in the Bryansk region “recorded a violation of the state border” by a Ukrainian plane, according to RIA.
“For some unknown reason, the plane crashed in the village of Butovsk in the Bryansk region,” RIA reported citing the FSB.
The pilot, a Ukrainian national, tried to escape by re-entering Ukrainian territory, before being arrested by a border patrol, according to the report.
A procedural decision should be taken following an investigation into this incident. END
