On the program for the day, five climbs, increasingly difficult. A 3rd category climb at the start of the stage before two 1st category passes of less than 10 kilometers. Forty kilometers further, the Col de la Ramaz (13.9 km at 7.1%) will take the runners to 1500 meters above sea level. They will then go down to find the foot of the justice of the peace of the stage: the Col de Joux Plane (11.6 km at 8.5%). The day will end with a technical descent to Morzine, where the finish will be judged.
