Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology on Wednesday signed a historic agreement to promote academic cooperation between the two universities.
A document of academic cooperation between the two universities was signed by the president of UM6P, Hicham El Habti, the president of the Technion, professor Uri Sivan, the senior vice-president of the Technion, professor Oded Rabinovitch, and the vice -President of Research Koby Rubinstein, in the presence of the Technion Vice President for External Relations and Resource Development, Alon Wolf.

Hicham El Habti, President of UM6P, said: “Today we are signing a document but what is more important is what is behind it: the mutual desire for cooperation, which will lead to exchanges of students and professors from both institutions. It is an honor and a great responsibility to be here at the Technion. We are part of a historic era, and we must continue to strengthen the ties between Morocco and Israel. As a very young university, we are open to international cooperation and are delighted to establish this relationship. »
Subsequently, individual meetings took place between the members of the Moroccan delegation and the professors of the Technion with the aim of deepening specific collaborations in various fields of research relevant to the two countries. Topics for these discussions include water engineering, energy, biotechnology and food engineering, biomedical engineering, entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence.
