Umm Al Quwain Municipality Department carried out inspections on various food establishments, sales outlets, shopping centers, restaurants, popular kitchens, food factories, sweet shops and bakeries during the holy month of Ramadan. The inspections aim to ensure that these establishments comply with health and safety protocols, and to monitor the sale of meat, fish, vegetables and fruits markets. The Umm Al Quwain Municipality Department, represented by the Environmental Protection and Public Safety Sector, carried out inspection campaigns on food establishments, all sales outlets, shopping centers, restaurants, popular kitchens, food factories, sweet shops and bakeries, as part of its continuous efforts during the month of Ramadan.
The inspection campaigns come on food establishments operating in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, to ensure their compliance with the application of health and safety requirements, in addition to monitoring the sale of meat, fish, vegetables and fruits markets.
The department confirmed that its abattoirs, such as Al-Khor slaughterhouse, Al-Salamah slaughterhouse, and Falaj Al-Mualla slaughterhouse, were equipped to accommodate the slaughter movement, which is witnessing an increase during the holy month, and to meet the needs of the public and to ensure that carcasses are subjected to veterinary examination before and after slaughter, by specialized veterinary staff, to avoid the spread of diseases.
