UMons Students Build Symbolic Wall to Denounce Attacks: Vandals Destroyed It

2023-11-26 13:58:35

On Friday, UMons students built a wall in a pedestrian tunnel near their campus. They wanted to denounce the attacks that occur there too often. The same evening, the wall was destroyed by vandals. Two men were reportedly seen by witnesses on Friday evening destroying the wall. “We still hoped that it would last a short week and we are still disappointed with the act of the thugs”regrets Alice Crucq, president of ORE, the representative organization of UMons students, “but the objective of the wall was more symbolic and therefore we think that the goal was achieved since there was great media reach“.
