UN Security Council over China’s objection; Abdul Rahman Makki has been declared a global terrorist

New York: The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has declared Lashkar-e-Taiba leader and Pakistani terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki as a global terrorist. The decision of the United Nations was over China’s opposition.

The Security Council of India had earlier demanded that the Lashkar-e-Taiba leader be declared a global terrorist. But China strongly opposed this. After this, India lashed out once morest China. Now the UNSC has overcome China’s opposition. McKee was declared a global terrorist. Abdul Rehman Makki is also the brother-in-law of Lashkar-e-Toiba leader and Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

India and the US have already included him in the terrorist list under the country’s domestic law. He is reportedly involved in planning attacks once morest India, particularly Jammu and Kashmir, inciting and recruiting youths for attacks, and raising funds for terrorist activities of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).
