On May 12, a tiger shark rammed Scott Haraguchi’s boat off the Hawaiian coast. He describes the incident on his YouTube channel as follows:
“I heard a hissing sound, looked up and saw a big brown thing on the side of the kayak. I thought it was a turtle at first. It happened so fast. I didn’t realize that I pulled my left foot out of the water to brace myself before impact and kicked the shark in the head with it. If you asked me to do that once more, even without the shark, I don’t think I would be that flexible. I actually just thought the shark hit the kayak until I saw the video at home.”
Scott Haraguchi is unharmed.
