She adds that the prospect of her character “taking the lead and seeing a girl take the first step was really, really exciting.” The actress liked the idea that this female character, portrayed as having a strong character and a lot of independence, could make advances to a man and not the other way around.

The actress says that during another scene, she had to hit her partner on screen, a gesture that she was careful not to simulate too much to add a realistic dimension to this interaction. “In the scene, I had to hit him, because Louis is a good friend, I just kept on really hitting him,” she says in the video. “You know, I wasn’t pretending, I was really hurting her,” the young woman explained, indicating that she was aiming for her stomach.
She indicates that towards the end of the scene, the actor encouraged her to hit less hard and to hit more simulate the gesture : “at the end of the scene, he asked me Millie, can you pretend to hit me please”.

TikTok controversy
On social networks, some Internet users did not fail to point out that this attitude was questionable in two respects: firstly, the consent during a scene of intimacy was not respected and secondly, she had knowingly hurts the actor with whom she was playing.
The privacy coordinator Jessica Streinrock pointed out online the fact that these gestures did not in fact meet the rules in force on film sets so that everything takes place there correctly and without abuse. She particularly insisted on the fact that “you should never surprise someone during a scene of intimacy or combat”.
Adding that she still adores the actress, she explained that “those kind of little things can grow over time. Because she’s a star, she’s in a position of power over him. In this kind of scene, we like to keep a serene and light atmosphere, but the consent is required“.
