Although she has opened up more and more about some of the reasons why her love story with the former soccer player ended, she has not spoken openly about the role that Clara Chía Martí played between them.
According to media, such as El Periódico de Catalunya, and the collaborator of El Gordo and La Flaca, Jordi Martin, the 24-year-old was “the third in contention” in that relationship.
The composer allegedly found out that the Spaniard was unfaithful to her when they were still living together, thanks to a bottle of jam in the refrigerator at home, according to La Vanguardia.
However, she would have found out who he cheated on her with after several months of finalizing the separation and unexpectedly.
How did Shakira find out about Clara Chía and the link with Piqué?
It was Lorena Vázquez, owner of the ‘Mamarazzis’ podcast, who told what date, in the year 2022, Shakira supposedly knew who Clara was.
“They (the Colombian and Piqué) separated in March, but they did not make it public until June,” said the journalist during her participation in the program ‘Aquí Catalunya’ this Friday, June 30.
“Shakira didn’t know who Clara Chía was until August, when she named her and saw her face,” she later said.
Vázquez also revealed the alleged way in which Shakira identified the woman who would have been involved with the athlete for some time, despite the fact that he had a partner.
“Chía one day went to Gerard’s parents’ house accompanied by him. A person who was in the singer’s mansion at that time took photos of the girl,” the communicator narrated.
It should be remembered that both residences, that of the parents of the founder of the Kings League and the one that belonged to the interpreter of ‘I congratulate you’, are connected.
“The images reached Shakira’s hands. Finally, she connected the dots and finally knew who Clara Chía was,” Lorena said.

Even though Shakira apparently found out that Clara was Piqué’s conquest in August 2022, she would have seen her before.
Last February, the journalist Roberto Antolín stated, speaking with Juan Etchegoyen from ‘Mitre live’, that the singer-songwriter ran into Clara at Kosmos Global Holding SL
“Because when I went to visit Gerard at his company, I saw her there as an intern,” she said about it.
However, Antolín pointed out that the music superstar did not imagine then that the father of his children would be unfaithful with Chía.
