ABU DHABI, 14th June / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, witnessed The collective wedding organized by the Ministry of Defense for 500 grooms of its members, military and civilian, and children of martyrs.
The group wedding initiative – which was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center “ADNEC” – is part of the Ministry of Defense’s initiatives to celebrate the forty-seventh anniversary of the unification of the Armed Forces, and within the framework of the community contribution that the Ministry is keen on towards its children, in order to consolidate the values of community solidarity.
His Highness congratulated the grooms and their families on this occasion, stressing that building a stable and interdependent family is the cornerstone of the progress of the UAE and at the top of the priorities of the wise leadership, which is keen to support the people of the country, praising the success of the collective wedding experience in the country and its approach, as it represents a national phenomenon that can be emulated. In consecrating authentic traditions in society, and contributing to strengthening the values and principles of community solidarity.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Matar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, His Excellency Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director Executives of the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office, a number of senior officers of the Ministry of Defense and a number of families and families of grooms.
At the end of the ceremony, memorial photos were taken of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the attendees with the grooms and their families, wishing them a happy family life.
