Diabetic mastopathy is a rare consequence of poorly controlled diabetes that affects the breasts. Explanations.
The diagnosis was not what she expected. A rare breast condition
“Pathological examination of the mass revealed proliferation of fibroblast cells, with an increased nuclear/cytoplasmic ratio, consistent with a diagnosis of diabetic mastopathy“, details this story reported in the Journal of Medical Case Reports. Three months after the ablation of this mass, it had not returned to the patient. The appearance of diabetic mastopathy is not correlated with an increased risk of suffering from breast cancer.
