On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population revealed symptoms of shingles.
According to an awareness leaflet, these symptoms include:
Pain and a burning sensation at the site of the injury
A red rash that lasts for a few days
Fluid-filled blisters
Sensitivity to touch and light
As for the complications of shingles, the ministry explained that it includes severe nerve pain that may continue even following the blisters are gone and may continue for more than 3 months.
She pointed out that the treatment is treated with modern techniques (thermal frequency, and nerve root injections) to stop the pain, and it is done under the influence of local anesthesia and with radiological guidance.
