The Ministry of Health and Population revealed cases in which pregnancy poses a risk to the health of the mother and child, as the cases included:

1- Early pregnancy before the age of eighteen.

2- Late pregnancy after the age of 35 years.

3- Close pregnancy before two years have passed since the last birth.

4- Repeated pregnancy after four births.

The Ministry of Health and Population said that the ideal spacing period between births is 3 to 5 years.

Dr. Amr Hassan, advisor to the Minister of Health for Population Affairs, stressed that the population increase should not exceed the state’s ability to provide services, and should not affect the individual’s share of natural resources.

The Minister of Health’s advisor for population affairs added that there is an uncontrolled population increase in Egypt that exceeds the state’s ability to provide services.

Amr Hassan explained that in order for the citizen to feel the development projects, we must witness an increase in economic growth and a decrease in population increase, and the population growth rate must decrease because it affects the per capita share of natural resources, pointing out that the resource has been constant since 1959, but the population increase has doubled 4 times. times from that date until now.
