Unemployment fell to 11.1% in June

Also according to its labor force survey ELSTATthe employed amounted to 4,189,862 people, marking an increase of 46,574 people compared to June 2022 (1.1%) and by 32,310 people compared to May 2023 (0.8%).

While, the people under 75 years of age not in the labor force, or “people outside the labor force” (those not working or looking for work), amounted to 3,088,274 people, a decrease of 15,775 people compared to June 2022 (0.5%) and by 28,410 people compared to May 2023 (0.9%).
