A disaster linked to recurring gas cylinder explosions was narrowly avoided this Friday in a building in Fass Delorme, thanks to the rapid intervention of firefighters.
Indeed, an explosion of a gas cylinder was narrowly avoided. Residents of the building are still in shock and are struggling to explain how this incident happened. These days, gas cylinder explosions have become frequent. In Derklé, where the first gas cylinder explosion took place, eight members of the same family unfortunately lost their lives.

The mayor of Dakar, Barthélémy Dias, had previously announced legal proceedings against the company Total, which markets these gas cylinders. However, despite Total’s announcement to withdraw lot 28, gas cylinder explosions continue to occur in Dakar.
