New blow to Unia Geneva. The regional section of the union sees two members of management leave. According to the “Tribune de Genève”, overload and tensions linked to the working climate are at the origin. Contacted by the regional media, the organization, dedicated to defending the employment conditions of workers, did not comment.

On the other hand, he announced in a press release that a duo composed of Yves Defferrard and Anna Gabriel Sabaté would take over the reins to ensure “the continuity of the work of union construction, the recruitment of new members and the implementation of the objectives priority”.

Tensions within the union are not new. Since the dismissal of a trade unionist accused of harassment in 2020, the climate had become heavy, weighed down by departures. Last October, Unia was in the sights of the labor inspectorate. Experts had demanded around twenty measures to be put in place by the end of 2023.
