Unidentified object in Canadian airspace; US shot down

Ottawa – A US fighter jet shot down an unidentified object found in Canadian airspace. The incident happened on Saturday. The new incident comes after a Chinese spy balloon was shot down a week ago. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that the order was given to shoot down the unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace.

The action is a joint move with the US. Trudeau also said on Twitter that the North American Aerospace Defense Command was shot down by a US F-22 fighter jet. He also clarified that the remains of the property will be recovered and analyzed.

Trudeau also announced that he spoke with US President Joe Biden about the new incident. Meanwhile, the issue was discussed with Canada’s Defense Minister and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

The shooting took place at 3.41 (pm) local time on Saturday. The incident took place 100 miles from the US-Canada border at an altitude of 40,000 feet. Officials said the incident took place in Central Yukon.

A Chinese balloon that appeared over the state of Montana, a strategic military zone in the US, was destroyed by a US missile on the 4th of this month. A new incident has been reported after this.
