Bryan Kohberger, 28, was charged in May with four counts of murder and other counts related to the stabbing deaths of four students who were found dead in an off-campus home on November 13.

In a motion filed Wednesday by his attorneys objecting to a motion by the prosecution, Kohberger said he was driving from the afternoon of Nov. 12 until the next day.

“Mr. Kohberger has long been in the habit of driving alone. He often went out for a drive at night. He did so late on November 12 and through November 13, 2022,” his attorneys wrote.

The bodies of the students, Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Kaylee Goncalves, were found in a house in Moscow, Idaho, after someone called 911 shortly before noon, authorities said.
