Officials visited the “Oscar Orías” hospital where classes will be held.
At the “Oscar Orías” hospital athenaeum, a press conference was held where the rector of Unju Mario César Bonillo, the executive secretary of the Agency for the Implementation of the Faculty of Medicine, Antonio Buljubasich, the director of the hospital were present. Manuela Cabello, among other authorities.
At the beginning, the authorities gave a presentation on the Medicine degree and the steps that are being carried out to finalize the delivery of this degree at the Ledesma teaching hospital. In addition, they evaluated the hospital facilities for teaching classes, so upon arrival they took a tour and considered works to adapt the facilities to the development of university activities, which will be used for the training of future doctors.
The “Oscar Orías” hospital will host the medical degree, where the academic teaching will take place, led by the National University of Tucumán.
Antonio Buljubasich indicated that “following precise instructions from Governor Gerardo Morales, we are advancing as quickly as possible in the realization of this wonderful project,” announcing that they are “preparing the study plan to be presented to the Coneau of the Ministry of Education of the Nation, with a view to its corresponding approval”.
Furthermore, the official clarified that while they wait for said approval, “we simultaneously have to address various aspects related to infrastructure and equipment,” considering that “the implementation of the Medicine degree entails a broad process that covers multiple aspects.”
Finally, he also reported that “next month an institutional information and awareness day will be held on the roadmap to follow.”
