The Rapid Support Forces in Sudan have warned of people wearing force uniforms, breaking into homes and carrying out arrests.

And a statement issued by the Rapid Support Forces Command, on Monday night, quoted its assertion that “all its forces are engaged in battles and are working to secure the positions they have seized.”

The statement continued, “There is no Rapid Support force charged with arrests or entering citizens’ homes, and everyone should beware of anyone wearing a Rapid Support uniform who does such actions.”

The Rapid Support Forces accused the army of distributing support clothing and weapons to people to facilitate the penetration of the forces, and said that it had seized a large number of those wearing Rapid Support uniforms.

After 3 days of fighting, both sides of the conflict in Sudan said they had made gains on Monday, while electricity and water cuts continued in Khartoum due to the violence.

The United Nations envoy to Sudan, Volker Peretz, said that the two sides have shown no willingness to negotiate, amid fears that the conflict will spread to all parts of the country.

Smoke billowed in Khartoum on Monday, and residents reported hearing air strikes, artillery fire and gunfire, interrupting basic services and damaging hospitals in the city, which is not used to violent incidents.
