For this last episode of the season, we met Nikos Aliagas. TV and radio personality, journalist. We met him to talk with him about his true passion: photography.
A click that goes back to childhood, he also remembers perfectly the moment of this meeting, it was in Greece, in the country of his origins. Then, as a need, he will never stop photographing. For several years, in the shadow of his television character, he has allowed himself to exhibit his work, and in cultural institutions such as the Hôtel de Ville in Paris, the Museum of Fine Arts in Bordeaux or the Fondazione dellAlbero d’Oro. in Venice… Where he simply shares his gaze, and his photographic universe, in black and white, far removed from the electric lights of TV sets.
Until October 31, 2023, it is in an exceptional place, the Abbaye de Jumièges, in Seine Maritime, that his last exhibition is held. The Spleen of Ulysses. A hundred photographs, recent or older, are grouped here around this mythological figure, to illustrate subjects close to his heart such as exile, travel, finitude, roots, traces of time, and loneliness. … Subjects that never seem to leave him really alone… But that photography soothes.
